We are looking for a registered psychologist with experience in child psychology to join our friendly team at Box Hill South.

Step into a role where half of your time is client contact, which leaves you plenty of time to support clients with admin tasks outside of sessions.

Full time preferred. Part time considered for the right candidate.

The salary offered is above the award rate and will be considered based on the applicant’s experience.

Early Start Australia, Box Hill South formerly Melbourne Child Development is a multi-discipline practice that has 27 years’ experience in the community. The Clinical Leaders have worked here together for over 10 years., The team of Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants have a depth of experience to call on for your continued learning and development..

Our practice is a nurturing clinic within Early Start Australia’s family. Early Start Australia values it’s clinicians with extensive in-house PD, external PD days and PD allowances.

Our clients range from infants to adolescents and have a range of neurodevelopmental presentations influencing their development. As part of a multi-D team, you have a key role in creating truly holistic interventions for each child and family. You have the flexibility to deliver therapy in our modern and airy indoor and outdoor therapy spaces or at childcare, kinder and schools and via telehealth. You will work closely with families and educators to provide each child with the best start and help them grow and develop to reach their full potential.

You will be fully supported by a dedicated administration team, freeing your time for you to do what you do best.

 What you’ll bring:

  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board (AHPRA) is required.
  • Membership of the Australian Psychological Society is desirable.
  • Australian work rights
  • 1+ years clinical experience working with children and confidence in your role with children, parents and educators.
  • Qualified to administer WISC-V, WIAT-111 and ADOS -2 is an advantage.
  • Self-awareness and self-management skills.
  • Ability to tune in to your work colleagues so you can benefit from the team.
  • A positive perspective and an openness to learning.
  • Well-developed communication and inter-personal skills, to support your caseload
