About the Venue

We are a multifaceted entertainment and functions venue leading the Queensland Club Industry with an impeccable hospitality reputation and exceptional service in all things gaming, food, and beverage. We continue to set the bar for Queensland Club's.
Our restaurant, The Kitchen, is seeking a Commis Chef to work in our fast paced a la carte alfresco dining experience known for its bold décor, quality food and exceptional service. Open from 10:00am to 9:00pm daily, The Kitchen is always open and welcoming!
THE MAIN COURSE
What your day will include but is not limited to:
- Working in a specific section as allocated by your Head Chef
- Working with a small group of apprentices to assist in developing their skill set
- Conducting preparation ready for future service periods
- Coming up with new and innovative ideas and specials that demonstrate your creative flair
- Maintaining a clean cooking section and following food safety and HACCP protocol
- Assisting the Head Chef with conducting stocktake once a month
What's needed to be successful in the role:
- Having a genuine respect and passion for food
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Attention to detail regarding food safety and cleanliness
- A positive and welcoming attitude
- A qualification in commercial cookery
- Willingness to learn
- Full availability over seven days and ability to work days and nights
