Insurance Officer

Reporting to the Fleet and Insurance Manager, the Insurance Officer is responsible for taxi specific claims from start to finish. This includes the active claims relationship management with brokers, assessors, panel suppliers, underwriting and customers. End-to-end claims management incl. policy interpretation, liaising with stakeholders, settlement negotiation & claim resolution.

You will be key person for our insurance business, mentored by industry experienced manager, focusing on providing a strong customer service, on time, every time.

Daily responsibilities are varied and include:

  • Data entry for new claim lodgement.
  • Telephone liaising with all repair lifecycle stakeholders (tow/insurers/vehicle owners/fleet drivers/repairers/assessors etc).
  • Reconciliation of accounts receivable.
  • Critical thinking to negotiate and resolve a variety of disputes with multiple stakeholders.
  • Assist with recovery action.
  • Utilise systems to effectively and efficiently manage portfolio workflow (e.g. activities requiring action, diary management prompts).

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Insurance experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to interact in a diverse environment

Advantageous

  • Claims management/assessing experience
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Demonstrated time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to seasonal workflow.
  • Enjoy working within a fast-paced environment

Remuneration

$65,000 to $75,000 pa FTE + Super

Work Type

Part-time permanent position (30 hours per week) available from June fixed term of 2 years with opportunity to extend.
