The Domestic Violence Case Manager will be responsible for providing case management support to women and their children accessing the service Mobile Support Program.

This will involve working in conjunction with WCSSI DFV Case Managers to:

  • Provide outreach, advocacy and case managed support to women experiencing Domestic and Family Violence (DFV).
  • Undertake risk assessments and develop safety plans with women experiencing DFV.
  • Develop, promote partnerships & work with other agencies to achieve best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Provide tenancy and housing support that promotes long term, safe and sustainable housing options for women and children experiencing DFV.

The ideal candidate

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (minimum Diploma Level)
  • Experience working with women who are experiencing domestic violence.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in case management of people with complex support needs including outreach and advocacy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience networking with multidisciplinary services and agencies and ability to build and foster relationships within the local homelessness and DFV Sector.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Domestic & Family Violence Laws and Legislation in QLD.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including computer skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid QLD Working with Children Blue Card. 
  • Valid QLD Divers License
